Exam and shade assessment
We examine your teeth and gums, rule out decay and inflammation, and record your current shade so improvement is measured objectively.

Gum protection, then whitening
Your gums are isolated with a protective barrier, then the whitening gel is applied and activated by laser or LED light in rounds, in a session of about 60–90 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Does whitening harm tooth enamel?
Whitening with certified medical agents under a dentist's supervision is enamel-safe and causes no permanent damage. The real risk lies in unregulated products and abrasive home remedies, which we strongly advise against.
How long do whitening results last?
Typically one to three years, depending heavily on your habits, coffee, tea, and smoking speed up re-staining. Periodic touch-up sessions or a home kit extend the result, and results vary from case to case.
Will my teeth feel sensitive afterwards?
Mild to moderate temporary sensitivity within 24–48 hours after the session is possible and resolves on its own. We apply soothing agents afterwards and recommend a sensitivity toothpaste, and we tell you this upfront, because honesty belongs before the session, not after.
Is whitening for everyone? What about crowns and fillings?
An important fact you should know: whitening agents only work on natural teeth, crowns and cosmetic fillings won't change color. If you have restorations on front teeth, we'll discuss an integrated plan at your exam. Whitening is also not advised during pregnancy or with untreated decay or active gum inflammation.
In-clinic whitening or a home kit, which is better?
The in-clinic session delivers a faster, stronger result in one visit; the home kit works gradually over about two weeks at a lower cost, and is also excellent for maintaining an in-clinic result. Many of our patients combine both, we'll recommend what fits your case and goal.
